• HEAT RESISTANT TO 450F ACROSS THE WHOLE FACE: High-quality silicone rated to 450F handles heavy cast iron and hot stoneware without scorching or melting, and does not transfer heat through to the counter beneath. Under a big vessel that is holding real thermal mass.
• SLIP AND SKID RESISTANT UNDER SERIOUS WEIGHT: The textured silicone grips both the counter and the vessel, so a loaded Dutch oven does not travel when you stir it or lift the lid. As a counter mat it takes a stand mixer or a big mixing bowl.
